Pastor Jocylen Wyatt

Similar to her husband, Pastor Joclyen Cheryl Wyatt, while admitting being "safe under God's authority all my life," accepted Christ at the age of 16 under the leadership of Dr. Edna E. Travis of New Covenant Pentecostal Tabernacle.  Over the years, she has cultivated the ministry of helps (her gifting) by serving as an usher, cook, maintenance worker, children/teen ministry, choir member and "whatever my hands could find to do in God's house." She is a godly living example of one who has set her affections toward the house of God.

Currently, she serves alongside her husband, Apostle Gary Wyatt, as Senior Associate Pastor of SureHouse Open Bible Church, in Tacoma, WA.  Her responsibilities include overseeing the Finance, Children and Community Outreach departments. Pastor Cheryl's service to the Lord is not limited within the walls of SureHouse; she has been afforded the opportunity to minister locally and nationally, partnering with other powerful women of God. It is always her desire to see God established in the lives of others.

She has celebrated 30 years of marriage with Apostle Gary and the fruit of their union is mirrored through the lives of their sons, Gary, II and Solomon. Their family has blossomed to include daughter in laws, Phyllis and Natasha, four wonderful grandchildren, Joclyen, Jordan, Hezekiah and Jayda, which are "Gramsie's pride and joy!" She fulfills the role of wife, mother and grandmother as God intended - she has such a nurturing spirit which many have experienced. Pastor Cheryl (also affectionately referred to as Mother Wyatt) also has personal endeavors under development as she is anointed to shop for "tither's specials", which include a women's clothing line and shoe sizes for 11 & up.

God has absolutely graced her for such a time as this; she is His reflection of a virtuous woman!
